Come to Westover Road in the run up to Christmas to enjoy some Victorian nostalgia, with themed windows, Victorian characters and street performers. Available on Saturday 30 November, 7,14 & 21 December from 10.30am – 4pm.
30 November: A fun filled day of roving entertainment including Victorian living statues, live music from a choir, plus Rimski’s bicycle piano (a music and theatre act based on a unique bicycle piano) is sure to entertain.
7 December: Victorian themed stilt walker and unicycle riders will provide a visual highlight for Westover Road, while a Dickensian themed storyteller will delight children. A group of Christmas Carollers, complete with sheet music for attendees to participate, handed out by Victorian song sheet handlers.
14 December: A cheeky Victorian chimney sweep, complete with pole, will engage and enthral, whilst providing an opportunity for young and old to climb the pole. A roving Barbershop quartet will hit all the right notes, singing in shops, restaurants and on the street.
21 December: Photobooth complete with Victorian props will provide a great, fun opportunity to get a memento from a town centre visit. A Victorian themed juggler and brass band will complete the magical Christmas feeling.
